Climb the Trivia Ladder
Every step is a trivia question, and every step is harder than the last. Answer right to climb higher, bank your score at the checkpoints, and spend your boosts wisely. How high can you reach before a question knocks you off?

How it works
- 1
Climb one step at a time
Every step is a multiple-choice trivia question, and each one is worth more than the last. Pick the right answer and you climb. Pick wrong and your run ends — so how high can you go?
- 2
Bank your score at checkpoints
Two checkpoints sit along the ladder. Reach one and your score is banked safe — a guaranteed result you keep even if a later step trips you up. Clearing a checkpoint also drops a bonus.
- 3
Spend boosts on brutal steps
Each run gives you one-shot boosts for when a step looks impossible: Cut Two removes two wrong answers, Hint Spark reveals a clue, Swap Question hands you a fresh question (solo), and Room Poll shows how the room voted (multiplayer).
Why it's fun
📈 The stakes rise with every step
Late steps are worth far more than early ones, so a confident climb late in the run can vault you up the leaderboard — or end it all in one wrong tap. The higher you go, the harder it is to walk away.
🎯 Boosts turn tough steps into mind games
Do you burn Cut Two now, or save it for the brutal step you know is coming? Hint Spark, Swap Question, and Room Poll each fire once per run — timing them well is half the skill.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Trivia Ladder free?
- Yes — completely free to play in your browser on PartyRoomGames. No download and no signup needed. Start a solo climb instantly, or create a room and share the code.
- Can I play on my own?
- Absolutely — Trivia Ladder is built solo-first. Hit "Play solo now" and you're climbing in seconds, racing your own best step rather than other people.
- How does multiplayer work?
- Up to 100 players climb the same ladder at once. Everyone answers each step on their own device; a wrong answer knocks you out of the climb while survivors keep going, and the standings show who's reached the highest step.
- What are checkpoints and boosts?
- Checkpoints are special steps that bank your score so it's safe for the rest of the run. Boosts are one-per-run helpers — Cut Two, Hint Spark, Swap Question, and Room Poll — that you spend when a step gets too tough.
- Is there a daily challenge?
- Yes. The daily climb seeds the exact same ladder for everyone that day, so you can compare how high you reached against friends and the leaderboard. Find it on the daily trivia page.
